Steel structure manufacturer – what does the term really mean?

The term “steel structure manufacturer” covers a great many different businesses – from small welding workshops to large plants delivering entire industrial facilities. At MatBud it means a specific scope: we design, fabricate and erect steel buildings and canopies with our own resources throughout Poland. Instead of generalities, we show exactly what our offer includes and what the path from first contact to finished building looks like.

Design, fabrication and erection under one roof

As a manufacturer, we are responsible for the entire investment process – from design, through fabrication of the steel components, to erection on site. This gives the investor a single point of contact at every stage, instead of dealing separately with a design office, a fabrication plant and an erection crew. This arrangement also makes it easier to introduce changes during the project – a comment raised at the fabrication stage goes directly to the people responsible for the work, without passing through other companies. It also means shorter waiting times for answers when a technical question arises during construction.

Steel buildings in the MatBud range

Depending on the building's purpose, we design and fabricate, among others, warehouse buildings, industrial buildings, agricultural buildings or sports and leisure buildings. Each building has different technical requirements – a warehouse needs above all maximum internal volume, a production building often needs extra headroom for an overhead crane, and an agricultural building needs easy machinery access and good ventilation. We match the structure to the function the building is to serve, not the other way round.

Steel structures available from stock and made to order

A separate part of our offer is modular steel structures – available from stock, ready for fast erection without waiting for a full fabrication cycle, as well as made-to-order structures designed for specific plot dimensions and investment needs. Both options include mono-pitch and duo-pitch structures, depending on whether the building is to stand alone or be added to an existing building.

Steel canopies to complement the range

In addition to fully enclosed buildings, we also fabricate steel canopies, including shelters for agricultural machinery – a lighter structure that does not require full wall cladding and keeps investment costs down where a full building is not needed. Structures for self-assembly

For investors who want to handle erection themselves and thus reduce investment costs, we offer ready-made modular structures for DIY assembly. For example, a structure measuring 10 by 20 metres with a height of 4 metres costs around PLN 43,200 net in our range (as of August 2026) – a component for which the investor can independently choose the cladding, foundations and work schedule on site.

As a steel structure manufacturer, we carry out orders throughout Poland – from the first conversation about the plot parameters, through design and fabrication, to erection on site.
